Step 1
There are several ways to study for your theory exam: self-study at your own pace, or an effective online crash course.
Choose the method that suits you best. In both cases, we offer high-quality courses in English, provided by expert instructors from Theory College Netherlands (TCN).
Step 2

Register for Arrive & Drive™ and start with a 60-minute intake session that mirrors the real Dutch practical exam. At the same time, make sure you’ve passed your CBR theory exam.
When you sign up, you’ll receive two months of free access to the online crash course from Theory College Netherlands.
After your intake, you’ll receive a personalized assessment highlighting the skills and driving habits you’ll need to improve during your practical lessons.
Step 3
A one-day accelerated driving training at our location, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, focused on aligning your driving skills and awareness faster with Dutch standards.
We’ll help you sharpen your car control and eliminate common mistakes that lead to failing the CBR exam.
Many expats shift gears too often, brake unnecessarily, steer with one hand, or ride the clutch through corners. Other frequent issues include cutting left turns, accelerating too slowly, or rushing into unclear situations, and missing mirror or blind spot checks.
Step 4
Follow at least 3 driving lessons in the exam area to fine-tune your technique and get comfortable with the Dutch road system.
Based on the results of your intake session, additional lessons may be recommended. If needed, we’ll plan them in the most efficient way possible to fit your schedule.
Step 5
Take a practice exam under real CBR conditions
This optional DIS test helps you get used to the format and reduce exam stress — a smart way to boost your chances of passing the first time.
Do you execute the special manouvres well, you will get examption for the CBR driving exam.
Step 6
Take your Dutch practical driving exam
Your exam can be scheduled immediately after your final driving lesson on public roads, so everything is still fresh in your mind. This way, you go straight from practice to performance with minimal stress and maximum focus.
Step 7
Ready to hit the road!
After passing your exam, you can apply for your Dutch driving licence at your local municipality. Within a few days, you’ll be officially licensed to drive in the Netherlands!
